Program Fees
Surrounded by elegant Victorian homes, our 24,000-square-foot facility features a beautiful, secure central courtyard with mature landscaping, a rose garden, gazebo, and fountains. The facility offers private bedrooms with a choice of either private or shared bathrooms. Costs for a stay at TrueNorth Health Center have two primary components: medical management fees and daily room rates (which vary depending on room type).
Medical Management Fees
Initial Assessment & Examination Fees
Everyone participating in the TrueNorth Health Education Center's program must undergo assessment and examination. The fee for this medical evaluation, including a discount for time-of-service payment, is typically $295. This medical package fee covers your initial intake exam, the cost of the doctors' time involved in ordering and reviewing your laboratory tests as well as reviewing your daily chart notes, and their direction of staff and interns.
However, the medical package for patients with complex medical problems is $399 (the additional charge is to cover the additional time needed to review and evaluate the complex medical management issues).
Bloodwork and Laboratory Services
The cost for initial bloodwork and labs is dependent on your health history, health insurance and discussions with your attending doctor. Without insurance, the cost of typical initial labs can be approximately $300. Subsequent blood tests and/or laboratory services during your stay will incur additional fees including lab administration fees. Health insurance may reimburse you for some of these lab fees. However, health insurance, including Medicare, does NOT reimburse fees for participating in our residential health education program (daily room charges).
Weekly Evaluation Fee
One or more evaluations will take place with your doctor for each week or portion of a week throughout your stay. The fee for these medical management services is billed at $109 for each visit. This charge of $109 may be reimbursed by your health insurance or Medicare. Patients who are age 65 and over will have 2 visits per week and patients under 65 will have 1 or 2 visits per week depending on your health situation and discussion with your doctor.
The medical management fees are paid on arrival and may be may also be partially reimbursed to you by health insurance that allows you to select the doctor of your choice (e.g. PPO). We bill these medical management charges separately from our daily room charges, so that participants with this type of health insurance coverage may receive appropriate reimbursement after their stay.

The recently renovated facility has 75 guest rooms, including a range of suites with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Each suite shares a common area. All rooms have comfortable mattresses and bedding and a dresser, and bathrooms have unscented toiletries. We offer complimentary personal laundry services. Each participant (or couple) has their own bedroom and choice of private or shared bathroom.
Our facility offers an upgraded high-speed Wi-Fi that is accessible via your personal lap-top computer or via a shared computer in our library. Guest room telephone services have a personal voicemail box and complimentary local and long-distance calling within the United States. Fax and copy services are also available.
The daily room rate ranges from $209 to $529 per person, depending on the type of room you choose and the number of people in your group. The daily rate includes:

Rates by Room Type
All of our rooms are private, but they are located in 1-, 2-, 3- or 4- bedroom mixed gender shared suites. To avoid sharing a common living area with others, please book an entire suite. Also note that each room type offers either a private or a shared bathroom, as indicated below. Shared bathrooms are just a few steps outside of the bedrooms.

Three individuals coming together may choose to share a 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom suite for $179/night per person.
Groups of 4
Four individuals coming together may choose to share a 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom suite for $159/night per person.

Keeping Things QUIET
Please note: To maximize restfulness for all guests, participants who snore loudly or have issues that might disturb other guests must book a private suite.
Companions
It is possible to attend TrueNorth Health Education Center as a companion (i.e., without medical management or services). This is designed for those who are joining a patient but not participating in our medical program. The fee includes all meals and activities and is $99/day per person in addition to the single rate of the medical participant.
Pet Policy
Service dogs are permitted based on availability. One well behaved dog is allowed in our Dog-Friendly House which is located across and down the street from the main facility. It is a large (20’ x 20’) room in a stand-alone house with a private bathroom and a doggie door leading to a large fenced yard. If a dog barks excessively, we will ask you to find alternative arrangements for your pet. The rate is the same as a King room and one-time extra cleaning fee of $150 will be applied. Cats are not permitted at TrueNorth.
Non-Refundable Deposit
All participants must pay the estimated cost of their stay when they arrive at the Center. A final payment or refund will be calculated at the conclusion of your program. To make a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required. Although deposits are nonrefundable, we will provide 100% credit towards a future stay if two weeks’ notice of cancellation is provided. A credit of 50% will be provided if less than two weeks’ notice of cancellation is provided. No credit will be provided without 24-hour notice. We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, or Visa/Mastercard.

As described on that page, the first step in booking your stay is to REGISTER with TrueNorth Health.
